From the initial inning, it was clear that the Mariners were in fine form as they quickly racked up four hits and two runs. Their dominance continued unabated into the second inning where they added another two runs to their tally despite an error from their adversaries. The fourth inning was particularly notable as Seattle unleashed a three-run onslaught off three hits, further extending their lead and showcasing their offensive depth. By the end of the game, Seattle had accumulated an impressive total of 13 hits and took full advantage of two errors by Pittsburgh to seal their win.

Several Mariners players made significant contributions to this victory with standout performances. Lucas Raley was exceptional at bat with an average of .667, contributing one run batted in (RBI) while also achieving a slugging percentage of .667 across three at-bats. Joshua Rojas was another key player for Seattle; his batting average stood at .500 including one home run which significantly bolstered his team's efforts. His on-base plus slugging percentage reached an outstanding 1.85.

On the defensive side for Seattle, George Kirby put forth a commendable effort from the mound as he pitched six innings maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 3.0 and striking out five batters while keeping his walks plus hits per inning pitched (WHIP) to just 1.0.

Despite these strong performances from Seattle's lineup, Pittsburgh managed to mount some resistance by scoring two runs in the sixth inning followed by another single run in the eighth inning but ultimately could not overcome their limited offensive production which amounted to only five hits against Mariners' pitchers.
