Mariners' Offensive Power

Seattle's offense was highlighted by their ability to capitalize on home runs. Jorge Polanco and Rowdy Tellez each contributed significantly with solo home runs that set the tone for the Mariners' scoring efforts. Polanco's batting average stood out at .750, showcasing his effectiveness at the plate. Meanwhile, J.P. Crawford maintained a solid performance with an on-base percentage of .667.

The Mariners demonstrated patience and discipline throughout their innings, drawing four walks and maintaining an on-base percentage of .303 as a team. Their strategic approach allowed them to maximize scoring opportunities despite having only six hits in total.

Rangers' Response

On the other side, Texas struggled to find consistency against Seattle's pitching staff. Bryce Miller led the charge for Seattle from the mound with an impressive earned run average (ERA) of 1.8 and nine strikeouts per nine innings pitched (K/9). His control limited Texas to just one earned run during his time on the mound.

Despite this challenge, Texas managed eight hits overall but could not convert these into enough runs to overcome Seattle’s lead. A notable moment for Texas came when they scored two runs in one inning; however, it wasn't enough as they fell short by two runs.
