Seattle's offense came out swinging from the start. In the first inning, they managed to put up 2 runs on the board with hits from J.P. Crawford and Leo Rivas setting up scoring opportunities. The momentum continued into the second inning as they added another pair of runs, thanks to strategic hitting and patient plate appearances that resulted in two more hits.

Jorge Polanco was a standout performer for Seattle with an impressive batting average of .667 in this game. His contributions were crucial during those initial innings when Seattle built their lead. Meanwhile, Bryan Woo delivered a solid performance on the mound for Seattle with an earned run average (ERA) of 3.0 and striking out eight batters over six innings pitched.

Red Sox's Response

The Boston Red Sox struggled initially but found some rhythm as Rafael Devers led their offensive efforts by contributing significantly during his time at-bat. Despite being limited to only four hits throughout nine innings by Seattle's pitching staff led by Woo and Andrés Muñoz from bullpen duties - both maintaining low WHIP rates - Boston managed three runs across different frames including one each scored during third & eighth innings respectively which kept them within reach until final outs were recorded.

Boston’s pitching had its moments too; however it wasn’t enough against determined Mariner hitters who capitalized early then held onto advantage through effective relief work especially notable given how close contest remained till end despite fewer total base runners compared opponents’ tally overall due largely strong defensive plays fielding wise preventing further damage occurring late stages match-up itself ultimately proving decisive factor outcome witnessed here today between these two clubs competing fiercely historic venue known hosting many memorable encounters past decades alike this particular instance certainly no exception either way round indeed!
