The Marlins' performance was marked by resilience and determination. They managed to secure six hits throughout the game but were only able to convert these into one run. The team's hitting statistics reflect their struggle at bat; they had an average of .194 and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .242. The Marlins left twelve runners on base (LOB), which underscored missed opportunities during crucial moments.

Defensively, the Marlins were solid with no errors recorded and maintained a perfect fielding percentage (FPCT) of 1.0. They also turned two double plays, showcasing their defensive capabilities in preventing additional runs by the Nationals.

On the pitching side, Miami's bullpen worked hard but ultimately could not contain Washington's hitters in key innings. The bullpen pitched for six innings with an earned run average (ERA) of 4.5 and struck out five batters while conceding three runs on five hits.

One bright spot for Miami was their success rate in stolen bases; they achieved a perfect steal percentage (pct) of one hundred percent without being caught once during attempted steals.

Despite these efforts, it was not enough to overcome Washington's late push in the eighth inning where they scored two runs off three hits which proved decisive in securing their win over Miami.

Looking ahead, fans can mark their calendars for another showdown between these two teams at loanDepot park located at 501 Marlins Way in sunny Miami FL zip code:33125. The next game is scheduled for April 27th at 8:10 PM Eastern Time and will be broadcasted on MASN2 network where fans can tune in to follow all live-action as it unfolds.
