The Marlins displayed an impressive offensive performance, accumulating 13 hits throughout the game. Their batting average stood at .325, highlighting their ability to connect with pitches effectively. The team's on-base percentage (OBP) was .372, and they managed to drive in 10 runs (RBI), demonstrating their efficiency in capitalizing on scoring opportunities. Notably, Miami's hitters showed power by achieving a slugging percentage (SLG) of .550, bolstered by two home runs and three doubles among their hits.

Miami's pitching staff had its moments despite facing a formidable Mets lineup that managed to rack up 15 hits. The bullpen played a crucial role in securing the win for Miami, especially towards the latter innings where they held off New York's attempts to take control of the game. Tanner Scott earned his third win of the season thanks to his efforts from the mound during critical moments.

On defense, Miami committed only one error compared to New York’s flawless fielding performance. However, this did not deter them from making pivotal plays when it mattered most. The Marlins executed two double plays and made several key outs that prevented potential scoring drives by New York.

The Mets were relentless in their pursuit of victory as well. They opened strong with two runs in the first inning but faced resistance from Miami’s pitchers and defenders alike as they tried to extend their lead further into late innings.
