Braxton Garrett was the standout performer for the Marlins, pitching a complete game shutout. He faced 31 batters and allowed only four hits while striking out six. His performance was instrumental in keeping the Diamondbacks scoreless throughout all nine innings.

The Marlins' offense came alive early in the game. In the second inning, they recorded four hits and scored two runs to take an early lead. This momentum continued into the fourth inning when they added another run on three hits, bringing their total to three runs for the game.

Miami's hitting statistics were impressive overall. They had nine hits from 32 at-bats, resulting in a batting average of .281 for this game. The team also managed one home run and one double among their extra-base hits.

Defensively, Miami was solid with only one error recorded throughout the match. They executed well on fielding plays with 11 assists and turned one double play that further stifled any offensive attempts by Arizona.

On Arizona's side of things, Zac Gallen took his fourth loss of the season despite putting up a strong fight on his end as well. He pitched through several innings but couldn't contain Miami's bats during those crucial early moments of scoring.

Arizona struggled offensively against Garrett’s dominant pitching; they managed just four hits across nine innings without scoring any runs—a testament to how effectively Garrett controlled their lineup from start to finish.
