Defensively, Miami was flawless with no errors recorded during the game and demonstrated excellent fielding capabilities by completing all plays without mishap. Their pitchers also managed to keep Royal base runners in check by not allowing any stolen bases throughout their time on mound.


The Royals managed to score their lone run early in the first inning but were held scoreless for the remainder of nine innings due largely thanks to tight pitching from Miami's staff which included limiting Kansas City hitters to just four total hits across all nine frames played.
