On offense, Jonah Bride stood out by hitting .500 including a home run that contributed significantly to Miami's lead. Vidal Bruján also made notable contributions with an average of .500 and demonstrating solid defense at shortstop position without committing any errors.


The Tampa Bay Rays managed to score one run each in both the first and second innings but struggled to add more throughout the remainder of the game despite accumulating seven hits overall.
