Marlins' Offensive Efforts Fall Short

Throughout the game, the Marlins managed to secure seven hits but failed to convert any into runs. The team showed promise with a batting average of .233 and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .303; however, their inability to bring runners home was evident as they left six on base and had only four at-bats with runners in scoring position. Notably, Xavier Edwards stood out by hitting .667 and achieving an OBP of .75. Matthew Mervis also made his presence known by batting 1.000 and securing an OBP of 1.0 during his appearances.

Pitching Highlights and Defensive Plays

On the mound for Miami, Valente Bellozo took on the role of starting pitcher but unfortunately recorded a loss despite a respectable earned run average (ERA) of 2.455 across 3.2 innings pitched. The bullpen saw Lake Bachar delivering impressive stats with an ERA of 0.0 and striking out over ten batters per nine innings pitched.
