First Inning

The game began with both teams testing each other's defenses. The Marlins managed to score 1 run off 2 hits in the first inning, setting an early tone for what would be a competitive matchup. Meanwhile, the Rays were unable to get on base during their turn at bat.

Third Inning

By the third inning, Tampa Bay found some rhythm and scored their first run of the game through a couple of well-timed hits. However, Miami's defense remained solid and prevented further damage.

Fourth Inning

The fourth inning was pivotal for Miami as they exploded with 4 runs from just 2 hits. This offensive burst was crucial in building momentum and putting pressure on Tampa Bay's pitching staff.

Fifth Inning

Tampa Bay responded in kind during the fifth inning by scoring three runs off four hits and capitalizing on one error by Miami's defense. This brought them within striking distance of leveling up with Miami.

Sixth Inning

Miami answered back emphatically in the sixth inning by adding another four runs from four hits while taking advantage of an error committed by Tampa Bay’s fielders. This surge effectively widened their lead and put them out of reach for good.

Seventh to Ninth Innings

Innings seven through nine saw both teams struggle offensively as pitchers tightened control over proceedings; neither side managed any significant breakthroughs despite several attempts at bat.

Looking ahead: Fans can catch all future action when these two teams meet again tomorrow afternoon (May 17th) at loanDepot Park starting from around 4:10 PM EDT broadcasted live via FDSFL network! Don't miss it!
