Marlins' Bats Fall Short as Phillies Prevail in Miami Duel

The Miami Marlins faced off against the Philadelphia Phillies at loanDepot Park, resulting in a 5-2 victory for the visiting team. This outcome brought the Marlins to a record of 28-42, while the Phillies improved their standing to 43-29.

First Inning


The game began with an early lead for the Phils, who managed to score 1 run on 2 hits. The Fish struggled to respond in kind during their first turn at bat, failing to register any hits or runs. The inning set an initial tone of challenge for Miami's lineup.

Miami showed resilience when Xavier Edwards’ impressive .500 batting average helped secure another run for the Fish Tank crowd’s delight; however, it wasn’t enough against Philly’s consistent offensive pressure which maintained their lead heading into the final inning.


Ninth Inning
