First Inning

The game began with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Marlins managed to get two hits in the first inning but were unable to capitalize on these opportunities. Meanwhile, Miami's pitching staff held firm against San Diego's lineup, preventing any runs from crossing home plate.

Second Inning

In a pivotal second inning for Slam Diego, they managed to score two runs off three hits. This early surge proved crucial as it set the tone for much of what followed in this low-scoring affair. The Friars' ability to capitalize on their chances contrasted sharply with Miami's inability to do so throughout most of this matchup.

Fourth Inning

Miami finally got on board during an eventful fourth inning when Kyle Stowers hit a solo home run that electrified fans and cut into San Diego’s lead by one run—his contribution being one of few bright spots amid otherwise limited offensive success for his team during this outing.

Bullpen Performance

One standout aspect was undoubtedly how effectively Miami’s bullpen performed after starter Eury Pérez exited following five innings pitched; they allowed zero runs over four innings while striking out four batters—a testament not only towards individual talent but also collective resilience under pressure situations like those seen here today!

Final Innings

Despite several attempts late-game—including another hit by Liam Hicks who went 2-for-4—the Fish couldn’t muster enough offense needed against such formidable opponents as these visiting Friars whose defense remained steadfast till final out recorded thus sealing victory away from home turf once more!
