Mets Outslug Dodgers in High-Scoring Affair at Dodger Stadium

The Mets' bats were on fire as they amassed a total of 14 hits throughout the game. Key offensive contributions came from multiple players, with two home runs adding to the excitement. The team's batting average was an impressive .341, and they managed to drive in nine runs while leaving eight men on base. The second inning set the tone early when they capitalized on a Dodgers error to push across two runs.

Defensively, however, it wasn't all smooth sailing for the Mets as they committed three errors over nine innings. Despite these missteps, their fielding efforts included seven assists and one double play which helped contain potential rallies by the Dodgers.

On the mound for New York was Reed Garrett who secured his third win of the season despite blowing a save opportunity earlier in the game. The bullpen held firm overall with Adam Ottavino and Brooks Raley each recording holds; Ottavino now has three holds while Raley has four.

For Los Angeles, Daniel Hudson took his first loss of this campaign but still maintains an impressive record with four holds and one save under his belt so far this season. The Dodgers' offense struggled against New York's pitching staff managing only six hits and committing two costly errors that contributed to their defeat.
