Did Mets' Bullpen Collapse Seal Giants' Victory at Citi Field?

The game began with both teams failing to score in the first five innings. The Giants were held hitless during this period, while the Mets managed only two hits and one run by the end of the second inning. The first significant action came in the sixth inning when San Francisco scored their first run off two hits.


New York's pitching was initially strong; however, it faltered as the game progressed. The bullpen allowed six runs over four innings of work. Sean Reid-Foley took the loss for New York after giving up five runs in extra innings.

Offensively, New York struggled throughout most of this matchup. They recorded only four hits and two runs across ten innings. Their batting average stood at .114 for this game—a clear indicator of their offensive struggles.


San Francisco's pivotal moment came during extra innings when they scored five runs on three hits and one error by New York’s defense—sealing their victory decisively.
