The Mets showcased a strong offensive performance, accumulating a total of 11 hits throughout the game. A pivotal moment came in the third inning when they scored three runs, significantly contributing to their victory. Additionally, in the sixth inning, they managed to add another two runs to their tally. Despite committing two errors during the match, these did not deter them from securing a win.

On an individual level, several Mets players stood out with notable performances. Luis Torrens had an impressive batting average of .750 and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .75 after securing three hits from four at-bats and scoring one run for his team. Brandon Nimmo also shone brightly with an exceptional batting average of .750 and an OBP of .75 across four at-bats.

The pitching staff played a crucial role in this victory as well. José Buttó started on the mound for the Mets and delivered an outstanding performance by maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 0.0 and a walks plus hits per inning pitched (WHIP) of 0.6 over his appearance, earning him his third win against three losses for this season.

The Pittsburgh Pirates managed six hits but were only able to convert these into two runs during the fourth inning. Their efforts were hampered by solid pitching from both Mets starters and relievers who combined for nine strikeouts over nine innings while maintaining control over their opponents' scoring opportunities.
