The match kicked off on a high note for the Mets, who quickly put two runs on the board and secured two hits in just the first inning. Their offensive efforts didn't wane as they racked up nine hits over the course of the game. A crucial juncture arrived in the sixth inning when they leveraged four hits to add another pair of runs to their score. Yet, it was during the tenth inning that they sealed their victory by notching an additional two runs.

Mark Vientos emerged as a standout player, delivering an extraordinary performance with a batting average of .600 and hitting two home runs which played a pivotal role in his team's triumph. His slugging percentage skyrocketed to 2.4 for this match alone, underscoring his vital contribution to driving in crucial runs.

From a pitching perspective, José Buttó and Edwin Díaz both turned in remarkable performances at opposite ends of the game spectrum. Buttó clinched a win maintaining both an earned run average (ERA) and walks plus hits per inning pitched (WHIP) at zero after masterfully silencing Reds' hitters during his tenure on mound. Díaz mirrored this feat with an ERA held at zero while striking out batters at an astonishing rate of 27 per nine innings pitched.

Despite managing only three hits against Mets pitchers, The Cincinnati Reds were able to translate these into four runs thanks largely to strategic play that allowed them to maximize scoring opportunities during both fourth and seventh innings where they tallied all their four runs.
