First Inning

The game began with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Mets were unable to get on base in their first inning, while Miami also failed to capitalize on any scoring opportunities. Both teams displayed solid defensive plays that kept each other in check.

Fourth Inning

It was during this inning that the Marlins made their mark on the game. With a series of well-timed hits and strategic base running, they managed to score all four of their runs. The Mets' bullpen struggled during this period, allowing five hits and failing to contain Miami's offensive surge.

Sixth Inning

As the game progressed into its later stages, both teams settled into a more defensive posture. The Mets managed only one hit in this inning but couldn't convert it into runs due to strong pitching from Miami's side. Meanwhile, New York's pitching staff worked hard to prevent further damage from Miami’s lineup.

Eighth Inning

In what seemed like a last chance for redemption for New York, they recorded another hit but were unable once again to bring any runners home due largely in part to effective fielding by Miami and missed opportunities by key players like Francisco Alvarez and Pete Alonso who had been pivotal in previous games.

Despite several attempts throughout nine innings, including seven walks drawn by Mets batters indicating patience at plate discipline; they could not break through against Marlins’ pitchers who maintained control over crucial moments leading up till final out was recorded sealing victory firmly within grasping hands belonging solely unto those residing within confines known collectively as 'Fish Tank'.
