The Nationals demonstrated strong hitting throughout the game, accumulating a total of 11 hits. This momentum continued into later innings with notable contributions in both the fifth and seventh innings where they scored one and two runs respectively. The eighth inning proved pivotal for the Nationals as they added another two runs to their tally, further solidifying their lead.

Defensively, the Nationals were flawless in fielding with zero errors recorded during the game.
