First Inning

The game kicked off with a strong start from Milwaukee, who quickly took control by scoring 3 runs on 4 hits. This early lead set the tone for what would be a difficult evening for the Nats. Despite efforts from starter Jake Irvin, who struggled with an ERA of 11.25 and allowed multiple hits, Washington's defense couldn't contain Milwaukee's aggressive offense.

Third Inning

Washington found some momentum in the third inning when Riley Adams managed to score after reaching base on one of his two walks for the day. Daylen Lile contributed significantly by maintaining a batting average of .333 and helping drive in runs that brought hope to Nats fans momentarily. However, this burst was short-lived as they failed to capitalize further throughout subsequent innings.

Sixth Inning

As both teams settled into their rhythms, Milwaukee maintained pressure on Washington’s bullpen which had an ERA of 5.4 over five innings pitched during this period. Despite Orlando Ribalta’s commendable effort from relief pitching with no earned runs allowed and a WHIP of zero across his appearances, it wasn't enough to stifle Brewer bats completely.

Eighth Inning

Milwaukee extended their lead further by adding two more runs thanks to strategic hitting and exploiting gaps within Washington’s fielding setup—highlighting what went wrong for Nationals defensively throughout much of this contest.

In terms of individual performances worth noting: Robert Hassell stood out offensively among his peers; he posted an impressive OPS (on-base plus slugging) figure above average at around 1.666 despite limited opportunities due largely because others struggled around him statistically speaking overall during these nine innings played out under lights here tonight!

Nationals post-match stats reveal areas needing improvement if they are going make headway against formidable opponents like those seen today again soon enough perhaps even tomorrow afternoon already scheduled back same venue once more facing same adversaries yet again then too surely hoping better fortunes await them next time round instead hopefully so indeed!
