Nationals Edge Athletics in a Close Game at Nationals Park

The Washington Nationals improved their record to 45-68 with a narrow victory over the Oakland Athletics, who now stand at 50-66. The game concluded with a final score of 2-1 in favor of the Nats.

Both teams started off cautiously, with neither side managing to score. The Nationals' defense was solid, preventing any early advances from the A’s. Konnor Pilkington took the mound for the Nats and showcased his pitching skills by keeping Oakland's hitters at bay.

The middle innings saw some action as both teams attempted to break the deadlock. In the sixth inning, CJ Abrams made an impact for Washington by scoring their first run after hitting one of only four hits for his team during this game.
