First Inning

The game began with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Nationals managed just one hit in the first inning, while the Braves mirrored this performance with a single hit as well. Both teams' defenses held strong, preventing any runs from crossing home plate.

Third Inning

In an attempt to break through early on, CJ Abrams of the Nats delivered a crucial hit that brought in their first run of the night during this inning. However, despite this effort and two hits overall in this frame, they couldn't capitalize further. The Braves remained scoreless through four innings due to solid pitching from Konnor Pilkington.

Fifth and Sixth Innings

The tide began to turn when Atlanta's offense came alive in these middle innings. The Bravos scored one run each during these frames thanks largely to timely hitting and strategic base running. Meanwhile, Washington's bats went quiet again after their earlier success.

Eighth Inning

A glimmer of hope emerged for Washington as James Wood stepped up with an impressive performance that added another run on board for his team during this late stage; however it was not enough against Atlanta’s consistent pressure throughout other parts of playtime which saw them maintain control over proceedings by adding yet another point themselves earlier back then too!
