The Baltimore Orioles have started their season with a resounding 11-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels, marking an impressive 1-0 record for the home team while the Angels fall to 0-1. The Orioles' offense was on full display at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, as they amassed a total of 10 hits throughout the game.

From the outset, the Orioles established their dominance with two runs in the first inning and three more in the second. Their relentless pressure continued with another two runs in the fourth and three in the seventh inning. The offensive statistics were telling of their performance; they achieved a batting average of .303 and an on-base percentage of .39, which contributed significantly to their run tally. Notably, they hit two home runs and had four extra-base hits overall.

The Orioles' hitters showed discipline at the plate drawing six walks while maintaining an impressive slugging percentage of .545. Clutch hitting was also on display as they capitalized on scoring opportunities with runners in scoring position (RISP), achieving three hits from eleven at-bats in these situations.

Defensively, despite committing one error, Baltimore's fielding was solid overall with a fielding percentage of .972. They turned one double play and provided eight assists throughout nine innings.

On the mound, Orioles pitchers combined for an excellent game, striking out fourteen batters across nine innings while allowing just two hits and three walks. The starting pitcher set down eleven batters via strikeouts alone over six innings pitched contributing to an earned run average (ERA) of just 2.00 for all pitchers combined that day.

The bullpen held its own too; despite giving up two earned runs due to one unearned run resulting from an error made during play – it maintained control by striking out three batters over three innings pitched.

The Los Angeles Angels struggled offensively managing only two hits against Baltimore's pitching staff – one being a home run that contributed to their total scoreline but ultimately wasn't enough against such a formidable opponent like Baltimore's team this day.

As fans look forward to more action-packed games this season – attention now turns towards March 30th when Oriole Park will once again be buzzing as it hosts another matchup between these teams at 8:05 PM Eastern Time Zone (ET).
