The Orioles' offense was firing on all cylinders, amassing a total of 11 hits throughout the game. A pivotal moment came during the third inning when they put up two runs, followed by another two-run burst in the sixth inning which solidified their lead. The ninth inning saw an additional run cross home plate for Baltimore, capping off their scoring efforts for the day.

Baltimore's hitters demonstrated remarkable discipline and power at bat. They achieved an impressive batting average of .297 and an on-base percentage (OBP) of .35 for this game. Their slugging percentage (SLG) stood out at .622, thanks to six extra-base hits that included two doubles and two home runs. With runners in scoring position (RISP), they managed three hits out of twelve at-bats.

On top of their offensive success, Baltimore's pitchers threw a combined shutout with Cole Irvin earning his first win of the season while maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 0.0 over nine innings pitched. The bullpen contributed effectively as well, facing ten batters without allowing any runs across 2.1 innings pitched.

The Royals struggled to find their rhythm against Baltimore's pitchers, managing only five hits without converting any into runs. Seth Lugo took his first loss for Kansas City despite his effort on the mound.

Defensively, both teams played error-free baseball; however, it was Baltimore’s flawless fielding that complemented its pitching staff’s dominance over Kansas City’s lineup.

Fans can look forward to seeing if Baltimore can continue its winning ways as they travel next to face off against Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium in Anaheim on April 22nd at 9:38 PM Eastern Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted live on MLB Network for fans eager to catch all the action from coast-to-coast.
