From the outset, the Orioles set a high tempo, scoring five runs in the first inning off four hits and capitalizing on an error by the Mariners. This early lead was further solidified in the seventh inning when Baltimore added another four runs to their tally, ensuring a comfortable lead. Notably, this performance was underpinned by an impressive display of power hitting, with six extra-base hits including three doubles and two triples contributing significantly to their run total.

John Means led from the mound for Baltimore with a win credited to his performance. He pitched six innings with efficiency that stifled Seattle's hitters, maintaining control throughout his appearance. The bullpen also held firm; Jacob Webb and Yennier Cano provided crucial holds that kept Seattle at bay during critical moments of the game.

On offense, Baltimore's hitters were relentless. They achieved a .294 batting average across all plate appearances while managing an on-base percentage of .324. Their slugging percentage stood out at .588, highlighting their ability to convert hits into significant scoring opportunities effectively. The team demonstrated patience at bat as well; despite facing tough pitching from Seattle's Bryce Miller who suffered the loss after conceding two earned runs over six innings.

Seattle did manage to score in both the first and fifth innings but struggled to capitalize on further opportunities presented throughout later stages of play. Their sole error contributed directly to Baltimore’s early momentum which proved too substantial a deficit for them to recover from.
