The Orioles started strong with an opening inning that promised competitiveness, scoring one run off two hits without committing any errors. However, as the game progressed, they struggled to maintain momentum against the Rays' relentless attack. Baltimore managed to accumulate eight hits throughout the game but only converted these opportunities into two runs. In contrast, Tampa Bay capitalized on their 15 hits more effectively, crossing home plate fourteen times.

Notably for the Orioles were performances from Ramón Urías and Lewin Díaz who both boasted batting averages of .500 following this contest. Austin Hays also made an impact with his perfect batting average of 1.000 from his sole at-bat which contributed significantly to Baltimore's efforts on offense.

On the mound for Baltimore was a mix of pitchers who faced tough battles against Tampa Bay hitters. Darwinzon Hernandez had an especially challenging outing with an earned run average (ERA) soaring to 108 after allowing multiple walks and hits during his appearance.

The defensive side saw solid contributions from several players including Adam Frazier and Jorge Mateo who maintained perfect fielding percentages despite the team's overall struggles in containing Tampa Bay's hitters.
