The Orioles opened the game strongly, marking their presence with one run and three hits in the first inning itself. This early lead set the tone for the rest of the game. Despite a quiet second and third inning from both teams, it was in the fifth inning that Baltimore further solidified its lead by adding two more runs to their tally. A final run in the sixth inning brought their total to four runs off eleven hits throughout nine innings. Impressively, they maintained a clean sheet defensively with no errors.

James McCann stood out for his .500 batting average by securing two hits and contributing one run from his four at-bats. Eloy Jiménez also made significant contributions with an impressive .750 batting average from his four at-bats but did not cross home plate himself. Ryan O'Hearn's performance was notable as well; he batted .667 and drove in two runs for his team.

On the pitching side, Zachary Eflin delivered an outstanding start for Baltimore by maintaining an ERA of 0.0 across seven innings pitched which contributed significantly to stifling Tampa Bay's hitters throughout most of the game. His efforts were supported by Seranthony Domínguez who kept his ERA at 0.0 while Yennier Cano struggled slightly but managed to keep damage limited despite an ERA of 9.0 over two innings.

The Rays managed only five hits against Baltimore's pitchers and scored their lone run in the ninth inning—a testament to how well-rounded Baltimore's defensive play was during this matchup.
