The Orioles set the tone early in the game by scoring three runs in the first inning off four hits. They continued to apply pressure with an additional run in the second inning. Although there were quiet periods during the middle innings where both teams failed to score significantly, Baltimore broke through again with three crucial runs in the eighth inning off another four hits. This late surge proved pivotal in cementing their victory.

Key performances came from several Orioles players who stood out both at bat and on the field. Ramón Urías showcased his batting skills by hitting .400 including a home run and maintaining a perfect fielding percentage (1.0). Gunnar Henderson impressed with an outstanding .600 average and demonstrated solid defense without any errors. Ryan Mountcastle contributed significantly to Baltimore's offense as well, driving in three RBIs while hitting .600 for the game.

On the pitching side for Baltimore, Corbin Burnes delivered a strong start with an earned run average (ERA) of 4.5 across six innings pitched while striking out five batters and holding his opponents to an on-base percentage (OBP) of .217. Burch Smith claimed victory despite an ERA of 9.0 after pitching one inning without allowing any walks.

The Tampa Bay Rays saw moments of resilience throughout this matchup but couldn't overcome Baltimore's offensive onslaught combined with solid pitching performances from their bullpen which included Seranthony Domínguez maintaining a zero ERA over his appearance.
