The Baltimore Orioles faced off against the Detroit Tigers in a night game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, with an attendance of 18,800 fans. First Inning

The opening inning saw both teams starting cautiously. The Birds managed to get one hit but failed to convert it into runs. Meanwhile, the Tigs also recorded one hit without scoring any runs. Both teams' pitchers were effective in keeping batters from advancing beyond first base.

Fourth Inning

A pivotal moment occurred in the fourth inning when Detroit's offense came alive. The Tigs scored all four of their runs during this period, capitalizing on four hits that included two home runs and a double that rattled Baltimore's bullpen. Despite efforts from O's pitchers who delivered ten strikeouts throughout the game, they couldn't contain Detroit’s surge during this inning.

Eighth Inning

Baltimore attempted a comeback in the eighth inning when they finally broke through Detroit’s defense with a solo home run by Dylan Carlson—his performance was notable as he maintained an impressive batting average of .333 for this game alone. However, despite Carlson’s efforts and another hit by his teammates during this inning, it wasn't enough to close the gap created earlier by Detroit.

Ninth Inning

In what could have been an opportunity for redemption for Baltimore during their last chance at bat in the ninth inning, they were unable to add any more runs or hits against Detroit’s steadfast pitching lineup which had already proven formidable throughout previous innings.

As fans look forward to future games hoping for better outcomes from their team; next up is another home match where Baltimore will host Los Angeles Angels on June 13th at Oriole Park at Camden Yards starting at 7:08 PM EDT—broadcasted live on Apple TV+.
