Orioles' Early Struggles Allow Astros to Soar in Baltimore Battle

First Inning


The game began with a strong start from the 'Stros, who quickly capitalized on their offensive opportunities. The first inning saw Houston score 2 runs off of 3 hits, setting an early tone that would challenge the O's throughout. Despite Dylan Carlson's efforts in left field for Baltimore, his defensive prowess couldn't prevent Houston from gaining an early lead.


Second Inning


In response during their second inning at-bat, the Birds managed to put one run on the board thanks to Coby Mayo's solid hitting performance. However, this was overshadowed by another productive inning for Houston as they added two more runs and took advantage of an error by Baltimore’s defense.


Third Inning


The third inning proved pivotal as it witnessed another surge from Houston with three additional runs scored. Brandon Young struggled on the mound for Baltimore with an ERA of 11.813 and allowed significant hits that contributed to this scoring spree by Houston.


Middle Innings


As both teams settled into their rhythms during innings four through six, pitching became more dominant. The Orioles' bullpen showed resilience; Grant Wolfram delivered effectively without allowing any earned runs across his appearance.
