The Padres entered American Family Field hoping to add another victory to their tally but were met with staunch resistance from the Brewers' pitching staff. Despite a valiant effort from San Diego's hitters, they could only muster five hits throughout nine innings and failed to convert any into runs. The team's batting average was a mere .167 for the game, and they left ten runners on base, highlighting missed opportunities.

San Diego's pitchers held their own for most of the contest. The starting pitcher went deep into the game, throwing for 7.2 innings and striking out ten batters while maintaining an ERA of just 1.174. However, it was one costly run in the eighth inning that tipped the scales in Milwaukee's favor.

The Brewers capitalized on their few chances with three hits leading to one earned run that would ultimately decide the game's outcome. Abner Uribe claimed his second win as a pitcher this season thanks to his team’s narrow lead and Joel Payamps secured his second save.

Defensively both teams were flawless; neither committed any errors throughout playtime which spanned just over two hours at American Family Field under overcast skies with temperatures hovering around 61 degrees Fahrenheit.

Fans can look forward to watching their beloved Padres take on Toronto Blue Jays at PETCO Park in San Diego on April 20th at 6:40 PM local time (PST).
