The Padres set the tone early in the game, maintaining a steady pace before breaking out in the fifth inning with four runs, thanks to their relentless hitting. This pivotal moment underscored their dominance on the field. Notably, San Diego's batting lineup was on fire, achieving an impressive .432 batting average and securing three hits with runners in scoring position out of twelve opportunities. The team's performance was bolstered by key players such as Trenton Grisham and Jacob Cronenworth.
