Second Inning

In the second inning, San Diego broke through first when Xander Bogaerts contributed a hit that helped bring home a run. This early lead set the tone for what would be a strong performance by Slam Diego's lineup throughout the night.

Third Inning

Fourth and Fifth Innings

The fourth and fifth innings saw both teams unable to add to their scores despite some solid hitting attempts from each side. The Padres managed one hit per inning but couldn't convert these into runs due to tight fielding by K.C.'s defense.

As tension built up during this low-scoring affair, neither team managed any hits or runs in another scoreless sixth inning. The Friars' bullpen continued its effective work against Kansas City's batters during this period.

Seventh Inning
