From the outset, the Philadelphia team set the tone with an early lead in the first inning, scoring three runs on two hits while capitalizing on an error by their opponents. This momentum carried into the fourth inning where they added another three runs to their tally. Consistent offensive pressure resulted in additional runs in both the sixth and seventh innings, ensuring a comfortable lead for Philadelphia.

Aaron Nola's pitching performance was instrumental for the Phillies as he secured his third win of the season against one loss. His command on the mound limited Chicago's hitters to just four hits and two runs over nine innings of work. The only blemish on Nola's day was a home run allowed that contributed two earned runs to his statistics.

The Phillies showcased discipline at bat with six walks and demonstrated speed on base paths with four stolen bases out of four attempts – showcasing a perfect steal percentage. Clutch hitting also played a key role; five hits came with runners in scoring position out of fourteen opportunities.

Defensively, despite committing one error which did not lead to any unearned runs, Philadelphia maintained solid fielding overall with ten assists and twenty-seven putouts contributing to an impressive .974 fielding percentage.

The bullpen saw minimal action but remained effective when called upon; they faced only four batters without giving up any hits or earned runs and recorded one strikeout.

As for Chicago White Sox's efforts, they opened strongly with two first-inning runs but failed to maintain that pace as Philadelphia’s pitchers quickly adjusted. Nick Nastrini took his second loss of this season after allowing multiple earned runs during his time on the mound.
