The Phillies' offense was consistent throughout the game, amassing a total of 12 hits. In the third inning, they broke through with their first run. The fourth inning proved pivotal as they scored three runs on four hits and took advantage of an error by the Rangers. This surge gave them a comfortable lead that they maintained for the rest of the game.

Zack Wheeler was instrumental in this victory for Philadelphia. He pitched seven innings, allowing only two runs and striking out five batters. Wheeler's performance kept Texas hitters off balance and limited their scoring opportunities.

Jeff Hoffman closed out the game for Philadelphia, earning his fourth save of the season. Hoffman's precise pitching in the final inning ensured that any hopes of a late comeback by Texas were dashed.

On offense, Bryce Harper led by example with two hits and one RBI. His contributions were crucial in maintaining pressure on Texas pitchers throughout the game.

For Texas, Andrew Heaney took his sixth loss of the season despite a solid effort from his teammates early on. The Rangers managed six hits but struggled to convert these into runs against strong pitching from Wheeler and Hoffman's bullpen support.

Texas scored their first run in the second inning but failed to build momentum until later in the seventh when they added another run from three hits. However, this effort fell short as Philadelphia's defense held firm.

Philadelphia's fielding was flawless throughout all nine innings without committing any errors while executing one double play that stifled potential rallies from Texas hitters.

Looking ahead, fans can catch Philadelphia's next game against Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver on May 25th at 6:40 PM local time (8:40 PM Eastern). The broadcast will be available on COLR network.
