The game saw the Phillies put up a strong fight, managing to secure eight hits but were only able to convert these into three runs. Despite their efforts, they could not overcome the Dodgers' defense which remained error-free throughout the game. The second inning was particularly notable for the Phillies as they scored two runs off three hits, showcasing their potential to rally and change the course of the game.

On individual performances, Austin Hays and Nicholas Castellanos both had an impressive batting average of .500 for this game. Hays contributed significantly with his bat but couldn't turn his performance into more runs for his team. Castellanos also shone brightly with a slugging percentage of 1.0, although this too wasn't enough to secure victory for Philadelphia.
