The game saw the Phillies' hitters finding their rhythm early on, despite a quiet start in the first two innings. The action picked up in the fifth inning when they scored their first run, followed by a three-run burst in the sixth inning that set the tone for the remainder of the game. The team's performance peaked in the ninth inning with two additional runs, showcasing their ability to apply pressure late in the game. Overall, Philadelphia's batters achieved an impressive .368 batting average and a .429 on-base percentage.

Cristopher Sánchez led from the mound with an exceptional pitching display that contributed significantly to Philadelphia's win. Sánchez ended his outing with a commendable earned run average of 1.5 over six innings pitched, holding down a whip of 1.0 and limiting opposing batters to a .240 on-base percentage.

Edmundo Sosa added excitement by hitting at an average of .500 and slugging at an impressive rate of 1.25.

On defense, both teams showed skill but it was Philadelphia’s ability to execute plays that kept them ahead throughout most of this matchup against Los Angeles Dodgers who managed only seven hits against Phillies’ pitchers.
