On defense, both teams displayed solid performances with no errors committed during play. The Rangers' fielding was flawless with a fielding percentage of 100 percent across all positions contributing to their tight defensive setup which prevented any scoring opportunities for the Cardinals.


Andre Pallante pitched for the Cardinals and despite allowing one run over three innings; he put up a strong fight against a determined Rangers lineup.
