The Texas Rangers faced off against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, with both teams looking to improve their standings. First Inning

The opening inning set a cautious tone as neither team managed to score. Both pitching staffs were effective in keeping hitters off balance, resulting in no hits or runs for either side.

Second Inning

In the second inning, Texas broke through first with an early run thanks to Marcus Semien's solo home run. This gave them a brief lead and showcased Semien's ability to capitalize on pitches over the plate.

Third Inning

However, Minnesota responded strongly in their half of the third inning by scoring three runs on two hits. This offensive burst was highlighted by strategic base running and timely hitting that put pressure on Texas' defense.

Fourth and Fifth Innings

The fourth inning saw no change in score as both teams struggled to find offensive rhythm. But it was during Minnesota's fifth inning that they extended their lead significantly by adding three more runs from four hits, putting them firmly ahead at 6-2.

Sixth Through Ninth Innings

From innings six through nine, neither team managed additional scoring despite several opportunities. The Rangers had seven total hits but failed to convert these into more than two runs due largely to leaving runners stranded on base—a recurring issue throughout this matchup.

Texas' bullpen worked hard but couldn't contain Minnesota’s earlier momentum; Jacob Latz pitched effectively out of relief without allowing further damage after starter Jack Leiter exited with an ERA of 9.0 from his four innings pitched.

Looking forward, fans can catch Texas back in action against these same opponents tomorrow afternoon at Target Field—June 12th—with coverage provided by RSN starting at 1:10 PM EDT (12:10 PM local time). Share this article if you want others informed about how things unfolded today!
