First Inning

The game began with both teams feeling each other out. The Astros took an early lead with a run in the first inning, setting the tone for what would be a competitive matchup. The Rangers struggled to find their rhythm initially, failing to score and leaving two runners on base.

Fourth Inning

By the fourth inning, Houston's offense came alive with four runs on six hits. This surge put pressure on Texas' pitching staff and widened the gap between the teams. Merrill Kelly of Texas had difficulty containing Houston's lineup during this period.

Fifth Inning

In response, Rowdy Tellez managed to get Texas on board with a run in the fifth inning. Despite this effort, it was clear that more offensive firepower was needed from players like Jonah Heim and Adolis García if they were going to close in on Houston’s lead.

Eighth Inning

The eighth inning saw a resurgence from Texas as they rallied back into contention by scoring four runs off four hits. This late-game push highlighted key performances from Kyle Higashioka and Josh Jung who contributed significantly during this stretch.

Ninth Inning

As tension mounted in the ninth inning, both teams remained scoreless despite opportunities presented by errors and strategic plays. Ultimately though it was too little too late for Texas; their comeback attempt fell short against an unyielding Astro defense that held firm under pressure.
