The Rays shone brightly in both hitting and pitching departments. The team's batters achieved a commendable .316 batting average, with two home runs playing a pivotal role in their seven-run haul. Yandy Díaz was particularly outstanding, boasting a .750 batting average that included one home run and two runs batted in (RBIs), underscoring his vital presence in the lineup. Taylor Walls also delivered an exceptional performance with an impressive .667 batting average and showcased his strength with an on-base plus slugging (OPS) of 2.417.

On the mound, Ryan Pepiot claimed victory thanks to his proficient outing that resulted in an earned run average (ERA) of 1.688 across more than five innings of work. The bullpen matched this excellence; Hunter Bigge distinguished himself by achieving a flawless ERA of 0.0 during his stint.

The Rays' defense was nearly impeccable, committing just one error throughout the contest, which played a significant role in supporting their pitchers' efforts.

In contrast, the Orioles found it challenging to generate offense against Tampa Bay's pitching staff, managing only six hits over nine innings and scoring merely once despite having home-field advantage.

As both teams prepare for another encounter scheduled for September 8th at Oriole Park at Camden Yards at 12:05 PM EDT, fans are set for what promises to be another engaging game between these rivals. This upcoming match will be broadcast on Roku among other networks for those unable to witness it live.
