Boston's pitching was equally impressive, maintaining a shutout against Tampa Bay. The starting pitcher played a crucial role in this achievement by holding the Rays to just two hits over seven innings. Their ability to convert scoring opportunities was evident as they successfully hit three out of six times with runners in scoring position.

The Tampa Bay Rays struggled offensively throughout the game, managing only three hits against Boston's pitchers and failing to score any runs. Despite these challenges, Tampa Bay’s defense did not commit any errors but could not counteract Boston’s aggressive batting lineup.
