On the pitching side for Boston, Brayan Bello recorded a win with an earned run average (ERA) of 4.263 over more than six innings pitched, demonstrating resilience against a determined Royals offense. Brennan Bernardino's relief pitching was flawless; he maintained an ERA of 0.0 and struck out batters at a rate of 13.5 per nine innings pitched.


The Kansas City Royals put up strong resistance throughout all nine innings but were unable to overcome Boston's early lead despite scoring one run each in four separate innings including crucial moments late in the game that kept fans on edge until the final out.
