First Inning

The game began with both teams struggling offensively. The Red Sox and Orioles each went scoreless in the first inning, setting a tone of strong defensive play that would continue throughout much of the game. Boston’s starting pitcher managed to keep Baltimore hitters in check early on, allowing no hits or runs.

Middle Innings

As the innings progressed, both teams found it difficult to break through each other's defenses. By the end of six innings, neither team had managed to score any runs despite several opportunities with runners on base. The Red Sox had five left on base situations by this point but couldn't capitalize due to some timely pitching from Baltimore’s bullpen.
