First Inning

The game began quietly for both teams, with neither side managing to score. The Red Sox struggled to find their rhythm early on, unable to capitalize on any opportunities. Meanwhile, the D-Backs were also held scoreless by Boston's pitching.

Second Inning

Arizona took control in the second inning with an impressive offensive display that saw them score three runs off two hits and one error by Boston. This surge set the tone for the rest of the game and proved pivotal in determining its outcome.

Third Inning

Boston managed to respond slightly in the third inning when Masataka Yoshida drove in their only run of the game. However, this was not enough as they continued to trail behind Arizona's lead.

Fourth and Fifth Innings

In these middle innings, both teams tightened up defensively. The Snakes added another run in the fourth inning through strategic hitting but were otherwise contained by Boston’s bullpen efforts led by Brennan Bernardino who maintained an ERA of 0.00 during his appearance.

Sixth Through Ninth Innings

Despite some solid pitching from Lucas Giolito who recorded an ERA of 3.6 over five innings pitched, Boston could not close down Arizona’s offense completely as they scored again in seventh inning making it difficult for any comeback attempts from Red Sox Nation.

Overall performance metrics indicated that while Boston had seven hits compared to Arizona’s nine; their inability to convert these into runs was evident throughout this matchup which ultimately reflected poorly on their match rating against such formidable opponents like Diamondbacks whose tactical play ensured victory without further scoring after seventh inning mark-up until final whistle blew signaling end-of-game proceedings here tonight!
