The Reds' offense was firing on all cylinders, amassing a total of 13 hits which translated into nine runs. A significant contribution came in the fifth inning where they exploded for six runs off four hits and capitalized on an error by the Cardinals. Overall, Cincinnati's hitters showed exceptional discipline and power at the plate, highlighted by an impressive .317 batting average and .915 OPS for the game. Their ability to get on base was evident with a .378 OBP, while slugging was bolstered by eight extra-base hits.

Jonathan India stood out among his teammates with a stellar performance that included hitting .400 and driving in two crucial runs. His offensive output was complemented by Nick Martini who also batted .500 and maintained an OBP of .5 throughout the game. Robert Wynns made significant contributions as well, going 3-for-5 to achieve a remarkable batting average of .600 and scoring twice.

On the mound, William Carson Spiers earned his second win of the season thanks to his effective relief pitching that saw him post an ERA of 1.5 over three innings pitched while maintaining a WHIP of just 0.6667.

The Cardinals managed eight hits but were only able to convert these into four runs due in part to solid pitching from Reds' starters who held them at bay most of the game with an overall ERA of 3.0 across nine innings pitched.
