Reds' Bullpen Performance

Despite the loss, one of the standout aspects of this matchup was Cincinnati's bullpen performance. After starter Chase Petty struggled with an ERA of 34.714 and allowed all nine runs during his short stint on the mound, it was up to the relief pitchers to stabilize things for Cincinnati. The bullpen delivered impressively over 6⅔ innings without giving up any additional runs.

Brent Suter played a crucial role in this effort, maintaining an ERA of 0.0 and allowing only one hit across his appearance with a WHIP of just 0.15. His ability to control St. Louis hitters provided some much-needed stability after Petty's challenging start.

Offensively, however, it was not Cincinnati’s night as they managed only seven hits throughout nine innings against St. Louis pitching staff who were effective in keeping them at bay.

Stellar performances came particularly from Paul Goldschmidt whose bat proved pivotal during these rallies along side Nolan Arenado who also made significant contributions ensuring no let-up pressure-wise upon opposing team’s defense either!
