First Inning

The game commenced with both teams showcasing solid defense. The Reds managed to get one hit but failed to convert it into runs. Meanwhile, the Dodgers were held without any hits or runs by Cincinnati's starting pitcher Nick Lodolo, who demonstrated his capability early on.

Third Inning

Cincinnati's offense came alive in the third inning when Noelvi Marte hit a solo home run, giving the Big Red Machine an initial lead. This was one of only six hits for Cincinnati throughout the game and marked Marte's significant contribution from his previous performance where he had an impressive OPS of 1.4.

Fourth Inning

The fourth inning proved pivotal as Los Angeles turned up their offensive pressure. They scored four runs off five hits against Lodolo and took control of the match from this point forward. Despite Lodolo’s earlier strong showing with an ERA of 7.714 and WHIP of 1.2857 from previous games, he struggled during this inning which shifted momentum towards Los Angeles.

Seventh Inning

In efforts to regain control, TJ Friedl stood out for Cincinnati by securing two hits during his four at-bats; however, these efforts did not translate into additional runs for the Redlegs due to effective pitching by Los Angeles’ bullpen that maintained their dominance throughout subsequent innings.

Eighth and Ninth Innings

As time wound down on this matchup between these storied franchises known as "Reds vs Dodgers key moments," both teams continued battling hard but neither could alter what had become an inevitable outcome after that decisive fourth inning surge by LA’s lineup led them securely ahead till "Reds final whistle reaction."
