The game at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick began with both teams unable to score in the first inning, despite an error by the home team. The Rockies' offense struggled throughout, managing only three hits and one run across nine innings. Their lone run came in the seventh inning but was not enough to challenge Arizona's lead.

Colorado's pitching staff had a tough outing as well. The bullpen allowed two runs over 3.2 innings pitched, finishing with an ERA of 4.909 for this appearance and a WHIP of 1.3636. The starting pitcher also had difficulties containing Arizona's hitters, surrendering three earned runs over just over four innings and recording an ERA of 6.231 for the game.

On defense, however, Colorado was flawless; they committed no errors and maintained a perfect fielding percentage (FPCT) of 1.0 throughout nine innings.

Arizona capitalized on their opportunities more effectively than Colorado did during this matchup. They tallied seven hits including two home runs that contributed significantly to their five-run total.

The attendance at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick was recorded at 11,054 fans who witnessed a game lasting approximately two hours and twenty-nine minutes under clear skies in Scottsdale.

Looking ahead for the Rockies fans eager to see their team back in action: Colorado will next play against Chicago Cubs back home at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on March 21st scheduled for an evening start time of 8:10 PM (US/Arizona). Fans can catch this preseason encounter live from Scottsdale or tune into local broadcasts to follow all upcoming plays as they happen.
