The game was an offensive showcase, with both teams combining for a total of 25 hits. The Rockies out-hit the Padres with 14 hits to their 11. Despite not committing any errors throughout the game, it was ultimately Colorado's offense that made the difference.

Colorado's hitters were relentless at the plate, boasting an impressive .389 batting average and reaching base at a .452 clip. Their slugging percentage stood tall at .611, thanks in part to four extra-base hits which included two home runs. These homers proved crucial as they contributed to half of their runs batted in (RBI), totaling nine for the game.

The Rockies' performance with runners in scoring position was notable as well; they managed five hits out of seventeen at-bats (.294) and secured three RBIs when two outs were on the board. Their ability to capitalize on these opportunities played a significant role in their win.

On base paths, Colorado also showed efficiency stealing bases successfully on both attempts they made during this contest – showcasing not only power but also speed and smart baserunning.

Pitching for Colorado had its ups and downs throughout nine innings but held strong when it mattered most. The bullpen pitched 5.2 innings after taking over from starters who lasted just over three innings giving up six earned runs on six hits including one home run. However, relievers managed to maintain an ERA of 4.765 while striking out four batters and walking none – demonstrating control under pressure which helped secure this tight victory.

Tyler Kinley from Colorado's bullpen clinched his first win of the season while Justin Lawrence recorded his second save showing resilience against San Diego’s lineup late into this high-scoring affair.

As fans look ahead after this intense matchup between division rivals, they can mark their calendars for another exciting game featuring their beloved Rockies who will be hosting Houston Astros next week on April 27th at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helu located in Mexico City starting from 4:05 PM local time (6:05 PM Mountain Time). This international event will be broadcasted live by SCHN where fans can tune in to follow all action live from Mexico City as it unfolds.
