The pitching department saw mixed results for Colorado; while they struggled to contain St Louis' offense initially allowing eight earned runs overall—four attributed to starters over five innings pitched—the bullpen faced challenges but showed moments of effectiveness striking out six across eight innings pitched albeit conceding four runs during its tenure.
